14 Best Frozen Dinners You Should Try!
I have tried a lot of frozen dinner meals in my lifetime, and these are by far the best ones.
1. Trader Joe’s Chicken Tikka Masala

“Roasted chicken breast in a robust cream sauce,” as this tagline, is one of the tastiest and healthiest frozen dinners around.
It has 360 calories, 580 milligrams of salt, 39 grams of carbohydrates, 14 grams of fat, and 21 grams of protein.
Starting from the packaging itself, it is evident that this meal is different. First, the food is fresh, not frozen, which is a great start.
The sauce was still separated from the chicken when I microwaved this meal. This means that the chicken was cooked perfectly without being dry.
The sauce itself was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. I could taste the cumin and other spices used in traditional chicken tikka masala.
The only downside to this meal is that it is a bit on the small side. Sixty percent is the robust cream sauce, after all. But overall, it is an excellent frozen dinner option that is both healthy and delicious.
2. Kashi’s Creamy Cashew Noodle Bowl

You can never go wrong with a bowl of noodles, and this frozen dinner option from Kashi is no exception.
This meal has 360 calories, 400 milligrams of salt, 46 grams of carbohydrates, 14 grams of fat, and 15 grams of protein.
The noodles in this dish are made from a mix of buckwheat and semolina, so they are pretty nutritious. They are also tossed with strips of red onion, shelled edamame, julienned carrots, and cashew sauce.
The cashew sauce is what makes this dish delicious. It is creamy and has a slight sweetness to it that is enjoyable.
The only downside to this meal is that it is a bit on the small side (I prefer large meals!) I would add some chicken or tofu to bulk it up. But overall, it is a tasty and healthy frozen dinner option.

3. Amy’s Cheese Tamale Verde

“Organic,” “Gluten Free,” & “No GMOs,” this frozen dinner option from Amy’s is healthy.
It has 380 calories, 780 milligrams of salt, 46 grams of carbohydrates, 16 grams of fat, and 12 grams of protein.
This tamale is made with organic white corn masa and is filled with a blend of cheeses, chiles, and jalapenos. It is then topped with Amy’s salsa verde, which is made from organic tomatillos, serrano peppers, and cilantro.
The masa in this tamale is very light and fluffy, and the filling is cheesy and flavorful. The salsa verde is also perfect; it is slightly spicy and has a nice smoky flavor.
I was a little disappointed that no lime slices were included with this meal, as they would have enhanced the flavors. But overall, it is a tasty and healthy frozen dinner option.
4. Stouffer’s Classic Lasagna with Meat & Sauce

The package says it has 2x the meat, and I felt like that was an accurate claim. There is a lot of meat in this lasagna!
This meal has 370 calories, 900 milligrams of salt, 42 grams of carbohydrates, 13 grams of fat, and 21 grams of protein.
The meat sauce is made with 100% pure beef and is very flavorful. The noodles are also cooked just the right amount; they are soft but not mushy.
It tasted like it had been slow-cooked for hours, and I was impressed. The only downside is that it is pretty high in sodium, but other than that, it is a delicious and hearty frozen dinner option.
Also, there is only a decent amount of cheese in this lasagna, but I would have liked it a bit more. But, overall, it is a tasty and hearty meal that will satisfy you.

5. Hungry-Man’s Spicy Boneless Chicken Wyngz

This dish is undoubtedly loaded with sodium, 1620 milligrams, to be exact. That’s almost an entire day’s worth! But if you’re looking for a quick and easy meal that is also tasty and filling, this is a good option.
It has 790 calories, 76 grams of carbs, 43 grams of fat, and 24 grams of protein. The chicken wings are breaded and fried and served with mashed potatoes and a tangy buttermilk sauce.
The chicken wings are pretty tasty, and the buttermilk sauce is also delicious. I wasn’t a fan of the mashed potatoes. However, they were a bit too dry for my liking.

6. Healthy Choice’s Lemon Pepper Fish

Maybe because I’m a sucker for lemon, but I enjoyed this meal.
It has 280 calories, 510 milligrams of salt, 48 grams of carbs, 3.5 grams of fat, and 14 grams of protein.
A fish fillet is breaded and baked with a garnish of rice, broccoli, and “apple dessert.”
When I opened the box, the fillet didn’t smell wonderful right off the bat, but it was delicious. It smelled lemony and peppery rather than lemon and pepper-like.
And when I cooked it, the broccoli became small, but it still tasted like broccoli. The rice was a bit flavorless, but that didn’t bother me.
The “apple dessert” was good. I was expecting something bland, but it was sweet and had a nice apple flavor.
Overall, this is a healthy and tasty frozen dinner option that I would recommend.
7. Lean Cuisine’s COMFORT Herb Roasted Chicken

This meal has 170 calories, 520 milligrams sodium, 17 grams carbs, 3.5 grams fat, and 18 grams protein.

8. Smart Ones’ Pasta with Swedish Meatballs

This dish has 280 calories, 530 milligrams sodium, 42 grams carbs, 5 grams fat, and 15 grams protein.
The packaging itself is mouthwatering; the pasta and meatballs look delicious. And they are!
The meatballs are tender and flavorful, and the pasta is cooked just the right amount. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but it’s still delicious.
The noodles are a bit overcooked for my liking, but that’s the only downside to this meal.
But the classic flavor of this dish makes it an excellent option for a quick and easy meal.
9. Marie Callender’s Chicken Pot Pie

Let’s face the truth: we all love Marie Callender’s. But their pot pies? They’re out-of-this-world delicious.
This pot pie has 600 calories, 960 milligrams sodium, 61 grams carbs, 32 grams fat, and 17 grams protein. And it is SO worth it.
The crust is flaky and buttery, and the filling is packed with chicken, carrots, peas, and potatoes.
Like other pot pies, this one is relatively high in sodium. But it’s also very filling and satisfying. So if you’re looking for comfort food that will stick to your ribs, this is a great option.
It’s a hearty meal and one that will leave you feeling satisfied. But it’s also a bit on the unhealthy side, so enjoy it in moderation.

Do you love mac and cheese? Then you’ll love this Evol’s version.
It has 440 calories, 560 milligrams of sodium, 44 grams of carbs, 24 grams of fat, and 14 grams of protein.
The pasta is cooked perfectly, and the cheese sauce is rich and creamy. The truffle flavor is also very subtle and not overwhelming.
The only downside is that this dish is relatively high in sodium. But it’s so delicious that it’s worth the extra salt.
I didn’t mind the breadcrumbs on top, but they made the dish a bit too salty.
Overall, this is a delicious and hearty meal that will leave you feeling satisfied.

The chickpeas and cauliflower rice were also delicious. This dish is hearty and filling but also healthy and nutritious. I would recommend it.
The only downside is that the bowl is a bit small. But it’s still a filling and satisfying meal.

It is one of the most healthy frozen meals with only 190 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 23 grams of carbs, 390 milligrams of sodium, and 23 grams of protein. It contains wheat and soy.
It has a different smell of sesame oil when you open the bag, which is a good sign that it will have a nice flavor.
And it does! The chicken is tender, and the vegetables are crisp. The sauce is slightly sweet and has a good ginger flavor.
There’s also a decent amount of food in the bag. I was able to get two good-sized servings out of it.
